I know you already heard it from my parents but I'm really excited to let you know that I got accepted into dental school! I received acceptances from Baylor and San Antonio.

I want to thank you for something that you probably don't know - my interest in dentistry began with you. When I spent those last two weeks of my junior year of high school in your office as part of my clinical rotation course, that was when I decided to give dentistry a much closer look. It was the atmosphere in your office, the way you dealt with your patients, and your passion for this field that drew me in. You allowed me to continue observing you even into the summer and I even went to Give Kids a Smile with you.

From that first experience with you, I continued shadowing and volunteering at other dental offices and clinics, many of them overseas. But it really all began in your office. And what you don't know is that in every interview, when I was asked why I chose dentistry, I began with you. And when I was asked what I think constitutes a good, successful dentist, I described you, because the dentist you are to your patients is what I have aspired to be all these years.

I haven't decided which school I want to attend yet, I'm still too excited about just knowing that I have acceptances.
